Every directional Mop push spends one exact Pass, cleans the patch being left, and stores that departure direction in a fresh wet wake for three later pushes. Re-enter an unguarded wake and the porter slides along its remembered direction, possibly through another wake and into a real SLIP LOOP, display or door failure.
